AKOO x FRKO

The AKOO x FRKO collab tee is a limited edition, online-exclusive drop built straight out of Atlanta’s energy. Created with Atlanta artist FRKO, this piece starts the same way everything real does with an idea, a sketch, and a feeling you can’t fake.

This isn’t just a graphic tee. It’s pulled from real moments car culture, late-night drives, music loud enough to make you feel like you’re running your own world. That’s what this shirt carries. That feeling of being A King of Oneself, no matter what you’ve got or where you’re at.

Available in black and white, this collab blends AKOO’s legacy with FRKO’s raw, hand-built creative process. Nothing overworked, nothing forced just letting the idea breathe and turning it into something you can wear.

Made in Atlanta. Inspired by the city. Built for people who move how they want.

Online only exclusive!

Every city has a sound. Atlanta has a feeling — and for decades, that feeling has moved through the music, the cars, the art, and the people who never left. The AKOO x FRKO collab tee started there. In the streets. In the sketches. In a conversation between two things that were always going to find each other.

FRKO is an Atlanta artist. Not a concept, not a brand play — a person who picks up a pen and translates the city into lines. He's been collecting his drawings since 2014. Stacks of them. His studio is lived-in the way Atlanta is lived-in — full, layered, always adding. That's where this started.

The City

"Atlanta's energy is all based off of nature. It's a city in the woods. There's no wrong way to do your thing here. It's all creation."— FRKO

FRKO has been watching Atlanta since before he knew what to call it. Born at Georgia Baptist. Raised by baby boomers and Gen X Atlanta. "I'm not bigger than grandma. I'm one of the people," he said. "I've been taking everything in since I was a kid." That's not humility as a pose — it's how he works. Always out. Always watching. Bringing what he sees back to the page.

When AKOO reached out about a collaboration, he didn't need long to think about it. "I instantly was like — yeah, I'm the guy for the job." Not because of ego. Because of evidence. He's carried Atlanta across generations, across ages, across every side of the city. The essence of it lives in his work because it lives in him.

The Design

The design didn't come fast. FRKO is known for moving quick — canvases, commissions, flash sales. This one he sat with. "It started as a sketch that honestly took a long time to conceptualize," he said. "I do make a lot of fast work. This one, I leaned into the time."

The inspiration was specific. Atlanta car culture. The 24 Hours video. The kind of parking lot party you passed at 9pm as a kid riding in your mom's car — not old enough to be in it, but old enough to feel it through the window. That image never left him. When it came time to put something on the shirt, that's where he went.

"You might not have been in it, but you passed by and saw it. That's the beauty of cars in this town. You're always going to see it. And when you get old enough to be in it, you're like — wow. This is damn near the same thing I saw."— FRKO

The fox came out of that process. Not a first draft — a real one. FRKO sketched it, put it down, came back, started again. The fox that made it onto the shirt is the one that earned its place.

Atlanta made this shirt.

Atlanta made this shirt.

Atlanta made this shirt.

— FRKO, in the studio

The Meaning

The fox isn't just an image. FRKO was direct about what it represents. It connects to AKOO's foundation — the idea that being a King of One Self means you don't wait for permission, you don't wait to be seen. You just are.

"You feel like a king when you drive your car. Even if you don't got no money — you got your music, your clothing, your car. You got somewhere to go or not. You just going to find something."— FRKO

That feeling — riding through Atlanta, bumping your speakers, no plan but moving — that's what the fox carries. "The fox is literally just somebody that's got it going on. Had nothing from nothing. Nobody. And they're a king."

AKOO gave FRKO the room to get there. "Some brands over-direct you," he said. "The good people at AKOO let me cook." That trust is in the work. You can feel it.

"I'm not just going to call something dope. I'm going to make it dope."— FRKO

For AKOO, this collab is part of a longer commitment — to individuality, to culture, to the belief that real creativity doesn't need to be validated before it moves. The AKOO x FRKO Atlanta collab tee exists because two things from the same place recognized each other.

"Human imperfection is perfection. You gotta have knowledge of self."

— FRKO

The Process

Everything starts with the idea first.

FRKO has been collecting his drawings since 2014. Stacks of them. His studio in Atlanta is a living archive — canvases, sketches, Posca markers, a retro gaming setup in the corner. Work everywhere. "I just come in here moving it around," he said. "People give me signs and give me stuff to paint on."

The AKOO design lived in that space — referenced, revised, earned. When it finally clicked, he knew. "It came out sick. The fox wouldn't be the fox without me."
